The RMU SRC Market Place

The Student Representative Council of the Regional Maritime University is piloting a marketplace/classifieds section to allow students to easily connect to other students selling and/or wanting to buy products on campus.

This is an initiative and is part of the 2017/2018 visions of the council’s executive body led by His Excellency Emmanuel Ewoenam Abotsi to encourage students to engage in commerce on campus.

The section is found on the RMUSRC website using the link rmusrc.com/market and is entirely FREE to use

Here’s what you should know about using rmusrc.com/market –>

If you have ever used a classifieds site like Tonaton.com or OLX.com.gh, you should not be far from conversant with this new platform.

Before you jumpstart your commerce activities on campus with this new platform, do take note of the following steps to place your classified.

1. Get some good images of the product you want to sell.

Make sure to get convincing angles of the product to convince people browsing to buy what you’re selling.

2. Visit rmusrc.com/market and click on ‘Place Ad’

Fill the form by entering details of your product’s listing. This includes the title of the listing (product name), your contact email, phone number, the price in Ghana cedis (GHS) and any additional details of the product you’re showcasing. Click Next.

3. Upload files

The next page is where you upload your good images of the product. Make sure to upload good images and/or any other file that might be necessary for the customer to see before making a call to purchase.

4. Submit your classified.

Submit your classified. At this point an email will be sent to your email address with specific instructions as to how to edit the classified in case you need to change something.

And that’s about it with making your product available.

In case you’re interested in viewing product listings on the market, visit rmusrc.com/market/browse-ads

If you face any challenges or problems with the submission, kindly leave a comment below on the post and let’s get it solved, or call Newsman on 024 777 1245.
