The Universal Merchant Bank Ghana Tertiary Awards Top 50 Tertiary Institutions is basically not comparing institutions against one another on how they performed generally in Academics but a set standard by the Board Members of the UMB Ghana Tertiary Awards.
The Ranking is an audit on the strengths, weaknesses of the Tertiary Institutions and independent research (Questionnaire method on sampling views) done by UMB Ghana Tertiary Awards.
The UMB Ghana Tertiary Awards Rankings compare Tertiary Institutions to one another and put them in order.
Based on how the institutions perform across the four indicators, UMB GTA Rankings produces rankings that are designed to asses the Tertiary Institutions in four areas; Employability, Research, Innovation and Problem Solving Skills.
The UMB GTA received over 50, 000 nomination applications from students from all over the 133 Tertiary Institutions in Ghana in 2017. The UMB Ghana Tertiary Awards Rankings with the nomination applications and evidence received from the over 50,000 students across the country was subjected to our four Indicators.
This evidence is verified and the Tertiary Institution is given an overall score of 10 as well as a score for each category.
The UMB GTA understands that universities are different to one another and therefore need to be assessed on a range of categories that recognize distinct strengths. It also recognizes that each student is looking for something different.
